There's a river near me And it calls to me on the wind It beckons me to the waters Where solace lays in the undertow And I imagine it there The sinking, flowing down stream And forgetting this drama Leaving it behind on the shore forever But there's another river calling out Pleading with me to come To ride its current Somewhere laughing and playing Dreaming down stream into bliss Finding those uncharted lands Exploring the shores and breaking point Shifting the paradigms And creating new landscapes And yet there is another river The skylark of a thousand stars Dancing to the rhythm of the moon Singing to my soul of unfound territory It calls for me to come away To embark on an epic journey The river running over and through me Traversing across all time as one This is my river, the one calling me home © 2023 Loly Rinn Photo by Julia Caesar on Unsplash
