Believing her

He wanted the best for her,
It's all he ever wanted,
Because caught up in her was
A treasure of a thousand years.
An epic mission,
A tale to be told.
He wanted to protect,
But found he could not.
His heart was crushed
With the choices made,
But he still believed in her.
