Dreamer

She had wild dreams. Not just big dreams, but insane dreams. The kind of dreams people would scoff at and question her mental health over. Eventually, she stopped hinting at what held her heart’s attention. She learned to never tell anyone.

Sometimes she would doubt herself, “Am I delusional? What’s wrong with me? Why do I think I can do this? Why don’t I just give up?” And she did. Repeatedly.

Then one night a light came on, like a spotlight in a dark theater, and she realized she didn’t need anyone’s permission. She didn’t need even one person’s approval to dream as crazy as she wanted to, and so she did.
