I wonder how to do this How to survive this This thing called life I'm broken And rather confused Lost in time Tossed to and fro By this thing Aptly called life It throws me up And throws me down Burns my heart And freezes my soul It's ugly It defies me It jumps It squanders I lie and I die A thousand deaths On the inside Fighting this thing Called life It's ugly It's hideous It abhors me And gores me This is what it does This life thing Then I slip I fall And I see The flip side It's a tide And a stride An echo lost A wannabe Jekyll and Hyde Evil unbound Unwrapped Unleashed Beautifully tragic Turned into purpose With mysteries revealed Spirits set free And I am In the middle Of it all It's always been My choice The side I see © 2021 Loly Rinn Photo by conner bowe on Unsplash
