This I’d like to do

I'd like to laugh with you
Not just now and then
But everyday
I'd like to dance
Out of craziness
Just to make you laugh
I'd like to write simple notes
Kind of like rain
To water our dry hearts
I'd like conversations
Brewed between us
More robust than coffee
I'd like to sing with you
Just a little bit
Even if I'm off key
I'd like to surprise you
With little things
And maybe you would me
I'd like to gaze at the stars
While I'm next to you
And wonder about the universe
I'd like to color us
Outside the lines
Breaking all the rules
I'd like to lay in the grass with you
Watching the clouds
Shape-shift into our ideas
I'd like to paint
Pictures for you
To show you something new
I'd like to write
To help you see
All that's stored up in me
I'd like to dream
Of where we can go
And imagine the possibilities
I'd like to speak
And have my voice heard
Even if you're the only one
I'd like affections
Given in spontaneity
Just to keep the wonder
I'd like to act
As full of drama I can
Maybe Romeo and Juliet
I'd like to sit with you
And think of opportunities
To make the world a better place
I'd like to plan
Of doing something together
So we won't ever be apart
I'd like to help you
Find your dream
The one you simply lost
I'd like to take time
And spend it doing
The things that really count
I'd like to be refreshing
To you and others
And find it for myself
I'd like to be free
Just to be me
With no strings attached
I'd like to love you
In such a divine way
You couldn't help but be swayed
