Unspoken

The memories plague my mind
And the dreams haunt my heart

A shadow in time and relentless tomorrows
Abiding always within are the yesterdays
Fragments of my soul are torn but I mend

The memories teach my mind
And the dreams strengthen my heart

Each day leads to new directions
But I look at the world around me
I now understand the slashes of life's knife

The memories cross my mind
And the dreams bind my heart

Silence is heard when today meets tomorrow
Somewhere stands an embracing freedom
Onto new lands I shall travel

The memories sanctify my mind
And the dreams alight my heart
